Chocolate Franchisor Celebrates 9th Anniversary

September 21, 2004 -- Schakolad Chocolate Factory, headquartered in Orlando, FL, opened its doors nine years ago in Winter Park, FL on September 21, 1995.



Since then, founders Baruch and son Edgar Schaked have grown their business from a single store to an international franchise that spans 3 countries and 10 states in the U.S. There are currently 26 Schakolad stores open.



Schakolad Chocolate Factory was recently named one of the Top 50 Franchises in the U.S. by Entrepreneur Magazine and continues to win awards for "best chocolate" in every market they open.




"It's a dream come true for my father and I to achieve the American Dream with our chocolate business" said Argentinian born Edgar Schaked. "We began franchising in 1999 to share our love for the art of chocolate and it gave us a chance to give select individuals the opportunity of becoming successful business owners. By expanding our business we are also opening the door for others to achieve the American Dream."



Plans call for Schakolad Chocolate Factory to expand throughout the East Coast of the U.S. and double in size in the next few years.
